H.E. Prof Sam Tulya-Muhika has applauded the Uganda and Somalia relations as historical and based on Pan-African principles laid by the founding President Adden Abdulle; Speaking to Government Officials, 

Diplomats and Business Community at the 57th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Uganda on 9th October 2019 in Mogadishu, Professor Sam Tulya-Muhika paid tribute to the sacrifices heavily paid by the UPDF, Somali Forces and the International Partners (UN, EU, AMISOM and US) towards peace and economic recovery of Somalia. 

The Ambassador reminded his guests to use the newly revived Entebbe/Mogadishu direct route by the Uganda Airlines to visit Uganda the Pearl of Africa as named by Sir Winston Churchill in 1908. The Professor used the opportunity to acclaim Uganda’s Refugee Policy that has helped many Somalis to feel at home, doing business and living peacefully in Uganda, with some, established alternative homes. Looking forward towards better and peaceful days ahead for Somalia, the Ambassador urged the people of Somalia to embrace the three major principles of the London-based SMART Partnership Movement namely; Inclusiveness, Prosper your Neighbor and always to aspire a Win-Win-Win arrangements in every situation. 

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Abdulkadir Ahmed Kheyr who represented the Federal Government of Somalia commended UPDF for their role in protecting Somalia and the revival of direct route connecting Mogadishu to Entebbe by the Uganda Airlines. Present was plethora of the UN-Mission in Somalia, EU, Deputy SRCC, Deputy AMISOM Commander, Defence Advisors among others.
